M+R Benchmarks Report

M+R Benchmarks 2016 //

The M+R Benchmarks study is an annual report that collects data from over 100 nonprofits to establish the "norms" of digital campaigning, so that any organization can assess their own results based on size and sector. The project requires a lot of effort in many different disciplines -- from gathering participants, collecting and analyzing data, copywriting and designing the report, working with print vendors, and eventually launching the report through a variety of marketing techniques. It's full scale effort, not dissimilar to a product launch.

Acting as creative producer, I handled all visual and marketing elements of the Benchmarks report -- brainstorming the theme, designing to that theme, working with developers on digital elements, copywriting all marketing assets, working with the print vendors, organizing the launch party, and managing the entire production schedule.

Under my creative management, the report saw a huge increase in readership, participation, and external coverage, with features in many national publications, including Mashable.

Below are assets from the 2014 study.
The report, in physical form.
Below, you'll find a sample of the design inside the report

Details from the launch party. Part of my job was to work with all types of vendors to keep cohesion through every single marketing effort.
A flow chart I co-wrote, and designed, as a way to market and encourage nonprofit participation in the study.
Even the thank you cards to participants were on theme.
